The not-so hidden subtext here is, "We're Muslims. We love peace, but if you offend us in any way we will probably go bug-fuck crazy, and kill somebody. Maybe lots of somebodies. And burn some shit. And it will be your fault, because, you know, you offended us."
Well, here's a clue: get the fuck over it. This is a free society. People are going to do or say offensive things. I am offended by the way other people drive at least three or four times a day, just driving to work, but I don't go burn their houses and behead their children. Being that hypersensitive is not a cultural icon, it's a sign of a seriously infantalized mindset. What you are saying is, you as Muslims lack the cultural maturity to participate in modern civilization (big surprise, that).
We are nurturing a viper in our midst.
