Litterbugs

Crossers burying border in garbage | www.azstarnet.com ®

If we can't deport them for illegal entry, how about for littering?

Just Kill Him, Already

Lethal injection worries stir US death penalty debate | In Depth | Reuters.com

From the article:

A late reprieve spared Michael Taylor, who pleaded guilty to the 1989 rape and murder of a Kansas City school girl, and he remains alive on the state's death row.

and this:

... all executions in Missouri are now blocked because of evidence that state executioners might be inadvertently causing inmates to feel undue pain when they are killed.

Oh, we wouldn't want these monsters to feel undue pain, would we?

And Taylor is looking good to die of old age before the death penalty can be carried out. He robbed a family of their daughter in a brutal fashion 17 years ago, but we don't want him to feel undue pain.

And Mrs. Taylor? You raised a monster. You should be ready and willing to put him down yourself to rid the world of this creature and partially repay the debt you owe for bringing him into the world.

Attorney Out Laws

On TV, lawyers are noble, self-sacrificing, righteous, altruistic, great human beings.

In real life, lawyers are opportunisitc, bloodsucking, scumbag, lowlife shitheels devoid of ethics, morals, integrity, and human emotions.

Maybe some day I'll tell you where that came from.

We've Been Trying to Tell You

A Statistician Speaks on the "hockey stick" model of climate temperature, so beloved by the warmists:

It is important to note the isolation of the paleoclimate community; even though they rely heavily on statistical methods they do not seem to be interacting with the statistical community. Additionally, we judge that the sharing of research materials, data and results was haphazardly and grudgingly done. In this case we judge that there was too much reliance on peer review, which was not necessarily independent. Moreover, the work has been sufficiently politicized that this community can hardly reassess their public positions without losing credibility. Overall, our committee believes that Dr. Mann’s assessments that the decade of the 1990s was the hottest decade of the millennium and that 1998 was the hottest year of the millennium cannot be supported by his analysis.

"... cannot be supported by his analysis." Think about that while watching the big "global warming" show on the Discovery Channel tonight. Tom Brokaw has drunk the kool-aide, and I expect this show to be a search for every piece of evidence that supports the theory of anthropogenic climate warming while ignoring the considerable body of evidence that argues against.

(Later) ... And so it was. The main speaker was James Hansen, the guy who was in all the news saying the Bush administration was stifling his message. There was lots of "most scientists say..." and "warming could cause" and "this may bring about", but nobody willing to step up and say "if you people don't stop this we're all going to die".

Lots of anecdotes of bad forest fires and how last year they were the worst anybodys ever seen, by gum! And many, many shots of calving icebergs, something that is a result of normal glacial activity, not melting. Melting causes the bergs never to reach the sea, but the calving shots are much more dramatic, and the audience isn't smart enough to know the difference anyway.

And Hansen left us with a chilling cliffhanger: there have been five or six mass extinction events in earth's history and they were caused by climate change!

Well, no, several were caused by the climate change that followed asteroid or comet strikes, a different thing altogether. But it was very important that everyone watching come away with the message that EVERY SCIENTIST ON THE PLANET AGREES THAT THIS IS WHAT IS HAPPENING AND IT"S BAD but that is nonsense, they can't get that much agreement at their own kool-aide drinking conventions, much less all the others in the field.

But lots of grant money is riding on the message getting out, so expect more of these scary "documentaries".

Treason by Any Name

If the treasonous character of the New York Times is not patently evident by now, I give you this: The New York Times > New York Region > Slide Show > Slide Show: Memorable Photographs

Thanks and hat tip to Protein Wisdom.

When did war journalism start including imbedding reporters with enemy forces? This guy is firing at U.S. forces while the NYT photographer, Joao Silva, stands by and takes his picture. My take is that if this treasonous asshole gets taken out by a 105 round through that window in a fire suppression op, GOOD!

After all, he's just a mercenary. Screw him.

Anti-war protesters begin July 4 fast | Reuters.com

So Cindy Sheehan is going to stop eating until the troops come home.

You think she'll start to look like Ann Coulter before long? She needs to lose some of that lard she carries on her ass, for sure.

With any luck, Cindy will be just a bad memory when the war ends.

More Gore is a Bore

Don't Believe the Hype
Al Gore is wrong. There's no "consensus" on global warming.

Like any more Gore debunking is necessary. The "scientific concensus", which is a ridiculous concept on its face, is bunkum anyway.

I imagine you could get a concensus among scientists on any number of topics, but that does not make the result a scientific conclusion. The fact is, that the "concensus" story is all these loonies can use, because they have no science to back up their crazy claims.

And for an ex-tobacco farmer and left-wing screwball to claim any expertise in climate science is the height of insanity.

Day of Reckoning Finally Arrives?

SCOX: Summary for SCO GRP INC (THE) - Yahoo! Finance

As of 9:45 AM CDT:

Down $1.25 in 1 hour and 15 minutes trading. That's over 30% down on volume of 364,000 shares. The rats are fleeing the ship.

The market is bringing delayed justice to this cabal of scammers, pumpers, and thieves.

Goodbye, SCO and good riddance.

Update: 2:30PM SCO has managed to hold the stock price drop to 85 cents, with nearly 900,000 shares sold. Meanwhile, Motley Fool offered the following:

Since October 2003, SCO has burned through about $20 million of cash annually; it has only $18 million left in its coffers now. To keep operations going, SCO is now claiming to innovate in the Unix business again, and going so far as to virtually bribe developers into attending its programming workshops.

The SCO story started as a serious threat to Linux businesses everywhere, but it has downgraded past nuisance status to mere sideshow now, and it's easily forgotten or ignored. The code in question has been through tons of close inspections, with nary an infraction to be found, and it is also continually rewritten. It's safe to say that if there was any unlicensed code to begin with, it's long gone by now.

So long, assholes. I wish I could say it's been fun, but it hasn't. Any outcome that doesn't result with Darl McBride and Blake Stowell in prison is not real satisfying, but I'll take whatever I can get.

Gee, Alaska, You Must Be Proud

... to have sent your village idiot to the Senate.

That would be Ted Stevens, official jackass:

I just the other day got, an internet was sent by my staff at 10 o'clock in the morning on Friday and I just got it yesterday. Why?

Why? Because you are a clueless, ignorant, stupid moron who didn't check his email, I mean his internet until yesterday.

These are the bufoons who run the country.

Alaska, we thank you.
