Our moronic primary system, which allowed members of the opposing party to vote in each other's primaries, has guaranteed us at minimum, four years of stupidity, bad leadership, erosion of personal liberty and freedom, and further intrusion of government into daily affairs.

And no, it doesn't matter which one of the idiots running is elected, all the above is still true. I guess we're finally getting the government we deserve, for not paying attention to the details.

John McCain is microscopically the better choice over his far-left, socialist, friend-of-terrorists opponent. Since he is of advanced age, my main hope is that he chooses a truly worthy candidate as for his vice-president. But even that hope is beginning to slip away.
